We contribute to (and create) bleeding edge open source projects and continuously push the envelope to explore the future of ecommerce and distributed infrastructure systems.

What the Wayfair Site Reliability Engineering team does:

• Writes clean, high-performance, and well tested, infrastructure code with a focus on reusability.  (Python, GoLang, Powershell, Puppet, Salt)
• Contributes to the continued development of our internal hybrid architecture focusing on Hashicorp Stack (Terraform, Packer, Consul, Vault), Gitlab CI, for both Google Cloud and on prem VCenter & HP/Dell Bare Metal
• Leads architecture discussions for building new product and features
• Works closely with other Storage Technology teams including EMC automation for on prem and cloud based storage buckets
• Performs architecture reviews for other engineering teams
• Able to code hybrid solutions that scale to both cloud and physical datacenter

You ideally have:

• 3+ years of primarily Devops/SRE engineer experience
• Experience with IaaS and Paas architecture and rollout
• Experience with modern Datacenter Storage stack (VMAX, VNX, PURE)
• Experience with modern Devops practices (CI, CD, Microservices, Containers)
• Excitement about removing repetitive tasks for automation and scalability
• Excitement about keeping up to date with the latest industry technologies
• Able to engage in high-level client-side architecture discussions
• Experience with performance tuning
• BA/BS degree from a 4-year college or university

• Attend Devops/SRE meetups
• NoSQL and Caching exposure
• Experience/Knowledge of Kubernetes
