Job Summary:

You will join our existing DevOps team and share the team goals - continue the growth of the Continuous Integration process, improve operational monitoring and awareness and support both the development and operations teams’ efforts. Responsibilities will include developing automation scripts for various platforms, including Jenkins, Docker, AWS, and Nagios. Experience in with each of these tools is not required, just a strong yearning for learning new technologies - we are eager to train the ideal candidate as appropriate. The ideal candidate must be very motivated, able to follow best practices and work well independently as well as part of a team.

Specifically, the DevOps Engineer will perform the following:

  • Script build processes using Maven and Jenkins
  • Automate Docker container creation and deployment
  • Test deployments in both internal datacenter and AWS
  • Support integrating QA team automation into CI framework
  • Automate / Test auto deployment of AWS Disaster Recovery site.
  • Add new health checks to Operations Nagios Monitoring platform
  • Help operations team determine root cause of complex production issues

Desired Skills and Technology Experience:

  • B.S. from an accredited four-year college
  • Strong familiarity with Linux OS
  • Clear communicator – capable of producing concise documentation of processes
  • Familiarity with Java and/or JavaScript a plus.
