Overview /

As a Product Designer for the Numerated Platform, you will help drive design and research at Numerated to realize our vision - to help small banks have the best banking experience for their customers. You will bring your skills in user centered design to help create new products and features from research to ideation to prototyping the details of making great products. You will communicate clearly and work alongside other designers, developers, and product managers to help drive requirements and bring ideas to life as part of the agile product delivery process. You'll engage and inspire designers, product teams, and developers to do their best work. We’ll work together collaboratively as a design team to constantly learn, improve our process, and deliver our best work. You'll take responsibility for your work, celebrate your team’s success, and have fun doing it, while helping grow the design competency for Numerated.


Essential Responsibilities /

  • Use your design thinking skills to facilitate, extract, and gain consensus on the best product design ideas to build out our next generation platform
  • Design and conduct user testing throughout design and development, drawing insights from results and keeping the user’s voice alive throughout the process
  • Translate insights into artifacts, visual stories, sketches, drawings, low/high-fidelity wireframes, and prototypes
  • Help establish design best practices, guidelines, standards, and a design language that is woven throughout the entire company
  • Quickly translate from idea to implementation using design tools
  • Bring to life actionable insights that influence product strategy by analyzing product usage and research data
  • Use effective communication and storytelling techniques to bring ideas to life, gain influence, buy-in, and adoption across a wide variety of teams and departments
  • Build relationships with key business partners and customers to uncover unmet needs, objectives, and motivations and translate those findings into relevant insights.

Education Requirements /

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Design, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, or design related field required
  • Masters in Design, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, or design related field a bonus
  • UX Certifications - A bonus


Work Experience Requirements /

  • 4+ years of professional hands-on experience
  • Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Invision, Miro, Protopie, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc
  • Work experience in UX, IXD, and IA
  • Ability to thrive as a heads down individual contributor as well as a heads-up collaborator working with a team of other UI/UX designers
  • Experience in designing and conducting user research and informing product design decisions with research outcomes
  • Ability to wireframe and articulate design recommendations based on research outcomes
  • Demonstrated understanding of various usability studies, A/B, multivariate testing, and other evaluation techniques
  • Ability to juggle multiple product initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of empathy; ability to relate to users from various perspectives and provide unbiased voice of customer feedback based on the research findings
  • Self-motivated, execution-oriented, and ability to work autonomously
  • A passion for observing user behavior and synthesizing insights into product design
  • Excellent collaboration and communication (storytelling, and visualization) skills
  • Adept and nimble at learning new domains, technologies, and processes
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Teams to deliver best-in-class products with a user-centric focus
  • A lifelong learner, seeking the latest information both in design tools, methods, and product information
  • A working knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
