Our team is looking for a UI Designer to join our ASICS Global Digital Membership Team. This is an opportunity to join the early stages of an important and emerging initiative within ASICS. The Membership Team has global ownership of creating compelling membership services across the full suite of ASICS consumer experiences (ASICS, ASICS Tiger, Onitsuka Tiger, Haglofs, Runkeeper, Pace Your Race, and more). This person would help research and design a fitness-oriented membership experience in order to drive customer loyalty, customer happiness, repeat purchasing, brand equity, and cross-brand selling.

We like our designers to be well rounded. This means that while this role will start out with more UI responsibilities, we hope that over time this individual will be able to develop a skill set around other aspects of experience design (i.e. interaction design and user research).

We pride ourselves on being user-centric in all that we do and Designers are a central voice in our product development process with autonomy over their ideal process & workflows. For example, with a project requiring user input, a designer could choose to do everything from a full user research study to a quick click test.

What you will do

  • Participate in design activities throughout the product development lifecycle from product discovery through delivery
  • Help design surveys, interview scripts, and experiments to test assumptions and validate product ideas
  • Design wireframes, user flows, high fidelity mockups, UI prototypes, pattern libraries and specifications as needed
  • Deliver a strong and optimized set of UI assets that perform across devices
  • Design and document the interactions of the user experience for web and mobile interfaces, applying standard user-centered design guidelines and techniques
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure success in implementing design specifications
  • Production work such as image resizing, image optimizing, etc.

What this Designer should exhibit:

  • Must have strong portfolio showcasing samples of multiple phases of UI design
  • Interest in learning UX specifically user research and usability studies
  • Interested in ways we can personalize digital membership services
  • Experience with Sketch or willingness to learn it
  • Experience working in an agile engineering environment
  • Strong responsive web design experience
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools like InVision or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator

Runkeeper is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, or fitness level.
