As a key member of our Flights, Rental Cars, and Cruises team, the Senior UX/UI Designer will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and a broad range of internal stakeholders to create a best-in-class user experience that will impact the daily lives of travelers and partners. What you’ll do

  • Partner cross-functionally with product and engineering to translate business and users’ goals into elegant but practical designs that deliver on key business and user metrics
  • Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery
  • Hands-on production of user requirements, storyboards, wireframes, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to brainstorm new products, features and functionalities that enhance our mobile and web experiences
  • Independently provide strategic design solutions that demonstrate user-centered-design thinking
  • Explain rationale behind creative decisions based on best practices
  • Be a voice of the restaurant owner and consumer, advocating for solutions that deliver the best user experience with a consideration of available site data, internal studies, and industry best practices
  • Apply metrics & KPI models to help support design decisions
  • Drive and/or collaborate on all cyclical user testing sessions and independently seek out relevant research to inform design executions
  • Actively share UX/UI and UCD best practices and tools with team and business partners, identifying ways to leverage them for efficiency and optimal design solutions
  • Help create, maintain and enforce the brand book, templates, style guides and toolkits

What we’re looking for

  • 5-9 years of experience designing for responsive web and mobile
  • Online portfolio that showcases your design chops and demonstrates originality, innovation, and strong problem solving skills
  • Shipped responsive products and understand what it takes to create delightful, business-oriented as well as consumer-oriented experiences
  • Talent for managing multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion; exhibit flexibility and ability to create multiple creative concepts within our “speed wins” framework
  • Excellent communicator who has conviction to champion your point of view, but can also successfully collaborate with others
  • A “do-er” who’s excited about working in a fast-paced environment with the chance to work with top collaborators in different disciplines
  • Has a passion for travel
  • Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Invision, Axure, etc.
  • Illustration skills are a huge plus
