Our Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Senior UX Researcher with strong product instincts to help us develop Chewy’s digital experiences to join our team in Boston, MA. You’ll assist throughout all stages of research to provide insights at key decision points, connecting designers, product managers, and engineers to the voice of the customer. Using specific screening criteria, you’ll build our community of internal testing participants and establish long-term relationships that improve our overall research process. You’ll also creatively acquire participants from outside sources to support our internal network.

 What you'll do:

• Assist in the development and execution of consumer user research, usability testing, and {planning, recruiting, moderating, and analysis}
• Determine user research needs and scheduling based on the needs of designers, product managers, marketers, and engineers
• Collect and synthesize insights from customer service representatives
• Communicate findings efficiently and effectively
• Turn insights into actionable recommendations
• Advocate for the user and demonstrate the value of research
• Empathize with pet lovers and have a passion for improving their experience
• This is not a design position, but an understanding of the process is preferred
• Experience in the e-commerce space is a plus

What you'll need:

• BA/BS degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology and/or related degree
• A strong portfolio demonstrating past projects, research findings, and the ability to produce actionable insights
• 3+ years of UX or research experience - preferably as part of an in-house digital product team
• A passion for discovering what makes pet owners tick
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• An ability to multi task and balance requests from multiple sources
• Attention to detail and strong forward thinking capabilities
• E-commerce experience a plus
• Must be willing to travel
