What you'll do:

• Own the qualitative and quantitative research efforts for half the marketplace, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer.

• Work directly with the other Senior User Researcher and designers, product managers, marketers, and engineers to plan research and act on the results.

• Efficiently communicate findings to the team in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Lead all phases of research and usability testing (planning, recruiting, moderating, and analysis).

• Collect and synthesize insights from customer support and sales.

• Be an advocate for the user and the role of research in improving our product.

• Be part of a rapidly growing company that deeply values the user experience.

You have:

• 5+ years experience conducting user research for software products, preferably as part of an in-house product team.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating past projects, research findings, and the ability to produce actionable insights.

• Hands-on experience with a variety of research methods and a thorough understanding of when to apply each one.

• Hands-on experience planning and moderating usability tests, both in-person and remote.

• Deep empathy for users and a passion for improving their experience.

• BS or MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, or a related field.

• A sharp mind, a soft heart, and a large funny bone.
