POSITION:

We are looking for an experienced product designer who thrives on solving difficult business problems. You will be embedded in a cross-functional team as the design lead and are expected to advocate for an intuitive user experience. You will actively participate in the entire lifecycle of a solution, driving the design process from discovery to delivery. You will facilitate alignment sessions, present and get feedback from executives and users, and make a material impact on the client experience.

You are a UX generalist who enjoys being part of the entire UX lifecycle of your solution. You have the necessary training and experience in User Experience Design. You are strong in Interaction Design and have an eye for great visual design. You love partnering with UX Research and Data teams, but are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the answers you need to improve your designs.

You have a growth mindset and are comfortable taking on the unknown. You are a practical professional who can make and articulate the necessary tradeoffs that balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints. You value collaboration and learnings and are eager to get your solutions in the hands of the users. You measure your success by the user and business impact you’re making over design perfection.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead design sessions with product managers, engineers and relevant technical and business leaders
  • Design end-to-end, user-centered design artifacts that communicate the problem and solution via experience maps, wireflows, mockups, and FIGMA / Invision prototypes
  • Document and communicate design specifications with an appropriate amount of detail
  • Participate and contribute in cross-functional and product design team ceremonies - standups, planning, reviews and retrospective
  • Partner with Product Managers to strategize on product roadmap and prioritization
  • Partner with User Research to conduct external validation of designs
  • Review and assess the state of experience using product use data, customer support data and in-product feedback data
  • Contribute to Product Design team’s identity by championing and refining team’s principles, process, and design patterns

SHOULD YOU APPLY?

An Insider's view of The Predictive Index

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

I think The Predictive Index really puts its people first. My manager has been really supportive of my needs in and out of the office. I think having a manager that cares about me as a whole person makes me feel more fulfilled and energized to come to work.

Caraline

Recruiter

What does your typical day look like?

I'd say a good third of a "typical" day is spent meeting with people to make sure our team is building the right stuff and in the right way. Another sixth my day is spent interviewing or thinking about hiring and onboarding since we’re growing so fast. The last half of my day is hopefully spent programming! Building cool stuff is my favorite!

Stefan

Lead Software Engineer

How does the company support your career growth?

PI and my team have done a lot to map out a career path from having monthly discussions to filling out a personal development chart. This has allowed me to clearly see a future as well as understand what it is going to take to achieve my goals, and I know PI will help me get there.

John

Business Development Representative

What is your vision for the company?

Operations at PI enables all business units to empower members to maximize their creativity. I envision PI's growth to be powered by scalability, where systems and intelligence allow us to focus on high-value activities; where departments partner in successful cross-functional initiatives enabled by optimal automation.

Maribel

Senior Vice President, Operations

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

Collaboration at PI is one of my favorite parts of my job! My role in product allows me to collaborate with incredibly smart and talented coworkers across the business and turn ideas into reality. In addition, there are always projects and initiatives to get involved with that allow you the opportunity to build relationships and learn something

Megan

Senior Product Manager.
