Story illuminates the past, present & future, thus guiding Rapid7 employees and customers on their way and lighting up paths for change. Story also enables our employees and customers to connect across differences and create an authentic sense of alignment on their outcomes. Story unites data and feelings to help us author — and re-author — the Rapid7 story and have it over time be a shared identity with Rapid7 employees and customers.

As Rapid7’s storytelling wayfinder, you’ll build creative pathways and author our story via culture crafting, story crafting and story measuring while
Maintaining an authentic perception of the brand that is consistent through messaging across multiple media and channels, both internal and external
Unifying the story of Rapid7 through creative execution that both customers and employees consume through consistent materials
Culture Crafting
Translates leadership visions into clear communication for employees
Increases and sustains employee engagement and participation
Informs internal leaders and teams in the key organizational narratives
Story Crafting
Uncovering, capturing and setting the standard for storytelling assets
(case studies, social marketing, leadership keynotes, event elements)
Focusing on the experience of how the story is delivered and how the audience emotionally connects and is inspired
Supporting leadership in using narrative to connect the organization’s past, present and future
Overseeing and designing consistent messaging across all brand channels
Tailoring messaging for different audiences and strategic goals
Story Measuring
Working with customer research for optimizing key engagement metrics such as views, clicks, shares, likes, etc. and sentiment about the story experience
Conducting qualitative testing with various internal and external audiences
Reporting on results to of story connection internally to key stakeholders
Key Requirements of the Rapid7 Storyteller Role
In-depth understanding of
Digital and mobile marketing practices
Sales, pitches, presentations, persuasion
Modern media, including social, key content distribution channels and SEO/SEM
Modern metrics across owned, earned and paid: Conversion, amplification, ROI/economic value of investments, etc
