DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Serve as Creative Services liaison for Marketing Managers and other business units for all design and copy needs, managing a wide variety of creative projects and deadlines. In depth knowledge of production needs and ability to prioritize and project manage to ensure a smooth and efficient project completion without sacrificing quality. Effectively communicate requests and assignments from project owners to the creative team, and adeptly manage a variety of simultaneous deadlines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the creative project queue for all copy and design needs, assessing project and resource requirements
- Monitor projects and workloads, adjusting assignments and deadlines accordingly, estimating and negotiating budgets and timelines
- Distribute assignments to creative teams and other departments, depending on their availability and priorities
- Meet with project owners to learn more about new project details and give progress updates on existing projects, communicating any issues
- Conduct team meetings to review items/tasks assigned and due for the day and identify any roadblocks
- Review timelines and communicate expectations to requestors/job owners of team bandwidth
- Work closely with procurement to ensure quality product selection for printed and branded collateral
- Assist in minor design edits as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field from a four-year college, university or design school
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of traffic management experience working on a marketing or design team, or within an agency, is preferred
SKILLS:
- Experience with project management tools
- Comfortable with managing conflict resolution
- Must be efficient and able to juggle many projects and deadlines at once
- Able to effectively work with an integrated marketing and design team
- Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (namely InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Interfaces with internal customers at all levels.
- Must be an adaptable player able to adjust priorities and deadlines as needed
