Piaggio Fast Forward is looking for a digital product designer to join our team in the production of a mobile application and cloud-based tool for a broad portfolio of lightweight vehicles. This role will be part of the design team and will closely collaborate with a team of engineers, app developers, programmers, and a dedicated program manager. The digital product designer will define the user experience as well as designing the user interface for the product from early-stage concept to a design hand-off. As a product designer, you will be expected to utilize a full range of user experience design, interaction design, and visual design skills to deliver a pixel-perfect product with a delightful user experience. 

Responsibilities include:

• Execute design concepts with a strong attention to detail
• Work to improve and add new feature sets to existing mobile consumer applications
• Be involved in all aspects of the design and development process from wireframing, prototyping to design hand-off. 
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and international stakeholders
• Create and maintain visual assets like UI elements, infographics, presentations, and documentations.

Skills needed:

• Excellent proficiency with primary interactive design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, etc..
• Strong visual design skills with proficiency in mobile/desktop UI, color, layout, iconography and typography.
• Ability to manage timelines, expectations, meet deadlines and communicate needs and tradeoffs.

• Ability to work quickly but be very detail oriented
• Ability to function independently and in a team environment
• Process-oriented self-starter 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Curiosity to stay up to date with new technology and digital product trends through research and education.
• Expert-level knowledge of current trends in color, fashion, communications, experience, art, and other design influences.
• Outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization and archiving skills 

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of related experience of building and shipping software products (mobile application preferred)
• BA in design or related field or equivalent work experience
• Understanding the principles of User Interface Design on both iOS/Android platforms
• Experience utilizing prototyping skills to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building and maintain UI component library and design system for mobile app
• Experience designing mobile applications for consumer facing and physical products
• Experience generating and working with 3D visual elements
