Key Outcomes:

  • Collaborate with all teams that produce data at Indigo
  • Embed with the Data Science team to understand workflows and capabilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of complete R&D pipeline at Indigo
  • Create a formal hypothesis generation workflow with automated data ingestion and connection to literature mining
  • Help data managers drive requirements for curated datasets
  • Assist R&D and BioInnovation teams to enhance design of pipeline screens to include new outcomes with potential to further enhance productivity and quality in our products
  • Drive requirements for integration of non-pipeline data and results into Indigo databases
  • Demonstrate value capture using Indigo databases that have integrated microbe, plant productivity, and crop quality data for insights into our products and processes
  • Contribute to improved understanding of how Indigo microbes interact with plant genotype and environment (MxGxE) by working with field teams, the quantitative geneticist, and the Bioinnovation team

  • Able to creatively translate knowledge into data-driven hypotheses

Qualifications:

  • Ph. D in Plant Biology or Plant Genomics
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a pipeline-based organization
  • Background in functional plant biology, knowledge of molecular aspects of plant-microbe interactions preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of genomics and bioinformatics
  • Ability to integrate data to elucidate fundamental mechanisms
  • Meta-analysis experience preferred
  • Ability to code in Python or similar

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
