Our Opportunity: 

Chewy is hiring an Sr. Business Planning Manager to join our best-in-class Proprietary Brands Team. In this role you will drive annual and seasonal proprietary brands assortment strategies and plans for our Hardgoods businesses. You will draw industry insights, customer insights, and use the knowledge of other leaders in the organization to develop short- and long-term business plans. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with ambiguity, use data to drive informed decisions, and be a strong communicator. You will be influencing cross functional teams and senior leaders to drive industry leading growth for the business. You must be highly motivated, team focused, organized, detail oriented, and must possess solid analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. 

What you'll do:  

• Create customer first assortments for Proprietary Brands including improving performance of existing assortments, and identifying white space opportunities.
• Develop business plans with merchandising, branding and marketing and drive successful implementation of assortment strategy.
• Develop product briefs that delight customers and achieve our financial goals. Partner with the commercialization team during product development to maintain product intent.
• Conduct research, collect and process economic and statistical data, monitor economic trends, analyze data, and develop forecasts for our Proprietary Brands assortments.

What You’ll Need: 

• BA/BS with minimum of 6 years in product strategy or management, category management, buying.
• Strong analytical and data skills to solve complex problems and drive process improvements (SQL, Excel)
• Think Big while being able to tactically execute plan
• Strong influencing and collaboration skills
• Cross-functional Business Program Management
• Travel expectations: 10-15%

Bonus (if applicable): 

• MBA
• Experience working in a Private Label function
• Experience in e-commerce, CPG Brand Management, or other consumer goods
