As a Senior Software Engineer at WHOOP, you will help us scale out and improve our performance using the latest tools and services on AWS infrastructure. We handle massive amounts of data continuously streaming up to the cloud from everyday people improving their health and wellness to the world’s greatest sports teams and athletes mandating a fault-tolerant and highly available system. 

The Data Infrastructure and Ecosystem team brings large scale real time data to all of WHOOP. The team manages the latest and greatest platforms including application, system, and network level infrastructure. We develop integrations and new data domains to bring about the best possible insights for our members. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively across multiple teams in a high growth environment
• Develop a roadmap and technical vision with Product and Engineering alike
• Help us develop our open API product offering in an effort to integrate WHOOP into more of our member’s lives
• Tackle challenges of scale around high throughput data ingestion.
• Own and deliver applications and infrastructure from design through deployment delivering impact to our customers
• Develop greenfield integrations to prove product and market impact

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You are an experienced engineer interested in scaling applications and infrastructure.
• You are experienced with backend development (preferably object oriented) in APIs, Streaming data, and large data storage
• You are an experienced engineer working with public facing APIs
• You enjoy coaching other engineers and helping them develop their careers
