About the role:

You will be our sage that provides data driven insights that informs our business decisions. Our fast-paced environment requires real-time awareness into the health of the organization and you are a key component of that capability. In this role, you will live and breathe operations data from distribution, logistics, order management and customer support. You will be responsible for building compelling visualizations, running ad-hoc analyses and reporting findings to the leadership team. This role is the bridge between technical savvy and business acumen. It requires the candidate to be as proficient in operations business processes as they are in data manipulation.

About you:

You are a data evangelist. You believe that data is critical to business decision making. You have an endless curiosity to understand the story behind the data. You can look at massive amounts of information and quickly pick out the nuggets that the business really needs to know about. You are ok with ambiguity and have a sense of urgency in delivering your insights. You never assume your results are correct at first glance, and always do your due diligence to get the story right. Delivering the insights to your internal customers is rewarding to you and fuels you to do more. You have an impatience for wasted time and inefficiencies. You thrive on close collaboration across departments and organizational levels. You are thought partner for the SVP of Operations on how to best leverage analytics to drive improvements across the organization.

Role can be based Needham/Montreal/Remote

Requirements:

• Ability to handle large amounts of data & data-mine to draw strategic insights
• Possess a strong business acumen
• Competent at preparing and delivering executive level dashboards and presentations
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, mathematics or data science
• 5-7 years of experience in at least one of the following operations departments: distribution, logistics order management or customer support
• 3+ Years of experience delivering analytics within an operations organization
• Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Domo, Qliqview or Tableau
• Strong experience in SQL required, experience with R, Python and/or Java Script preferred
• Proficient at leading cross functional projects and delivering outcomes on time
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds
• Strong detail orientation with proven ability to work quickly and accurately
• Willingness to consistently and aggressively challenge the way reporting & analysis has been done in the past to uncover new & improved ways of operating
• Must thrive in a fluid and changing environment
