A Senior Manager to join our Business Analytics team, lead efforts to solve some of the most analytically complex questions in a fast-growing ecommerce company leveraging the trove of online data from our 16M members. Help define and execute multi-million dollar campaigns and investments aimed at accelerating Rue Gilt Groupe’s growth.

This position requires a combination of strong data exploration, business analytics and statistical skills. A good understanding of business strategy and experience in the ecommerce industry is helpful.

What you’ll accomplish…

• Lead a portfolio of business analytics areas and a team of analysts.
• Drive business initiatives with data and analytics.
• Prioritize, manage and deliver complex advanced analytical outputs such as forecasting, segmentation and business case valuations.
• Create and deliver presentations of insights; shared with all levels of the organization including to company leadership and board.
• Handle prioritization of various initiatives, and communicate regularly with key stakeholders.
• Be willing to get hands dirty when needed and own multi-discipline or particularly complex analytics questions (will definitely serve as a “player-coach”).
• Enable business stakeholders to make better-informed decisions through elegant, accurate, and timely data visualizations and complex analyses.
• Translate complex analytics tasks into concise and easily consumable insights and tell a compelling story a non-technical audience.
• Develop consistent approaches and methodologies, automate repeatable tasks and drive process efficiencies.
• Collaborate with technology and business teams within the organization to further analytics acceptance and culture.
• Proactively look for opportunities to improve business outside of specific questions asked, influence the organization to make needed changes to continuously improve customer experience.

THE RIGHT FIT:

You have…

• Required: 5+ years of experience in data analytics in consumer/retail/marketing/ad-tech or other quantitative fields
• Required: 4+ years of hands on experience in database querying languages (SQL or similar)
• Required: 3+ year of hands on experience in Tableau or similar tool
• Required: 2+ years of experience managing analysts especially in consultative situations
• Required: Masters’ degree in mathematics, economics, statistics or business analytics
• Required: Ability to tackle several projects simultaneously and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization
• Required: Solid knowledge of databases, data warehousing techniques, experience working with technology teams such as engineering, business intelligence, data warehousing and data science for implementing data-analytics solutions
• Required: Applications and experience in hypothesis testing and design of experiments
• Preferred: Data mining and statistical packages such as R/Python
• Preferred: Ecommerce, digital marketing/ad-tech experience
• Preferred: Experience using Git-Hub
