As an Associate Business Intelligence Engineer, your creativity and strong foundation in Math/Engineering places you at the intersection of data, design and analysis - the sweet spot to promote the wisdom hidden inside a treasure trove of data.

Position: Associate BI Engineer

Job Description:

  • Work directly with internal customers (at all levels) and Product Managers to identify data and visualizations requirements
  • Design elegant and concise dashboards that are the envy of any Excel user
  • QA datasets for correctness & completeness, and troubleshoot data inconsistencies across data sources
  • Provide intelligent and clear answers to ad-hoc business questions
  • Be an evangelist for data visualizations and self-service analytics promoting a data-drive culture
  • Develop in Tableau & write SQL queries against Oracle and Snowflake databases

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience working in Data & Analytics and or related engineering field (Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, etc.)
  • Understanding of data analysis and visualization
  • Knowledge of Data warehousing concepts and SQL
  • Analytical chops - you can find the needle in the haystack AND the forest in the trees
  • Superior communication skills. You are able to communicate effectively to users with different backgrounds and technical skills

Preferred:

  • Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate Certification
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge about ETL and data pipelines
  • Basic statistical understanding

Our Boston office is located in between the Seaport District and South Boston in historic Fort Point Channel. We're in walking distance from the Broadway Red Line Stop with easy access to the commuter rail, including shuttle service to and from North and South Station.
