The Senior Data Manager supports all aspects of configuration control, data management, and deficiency reporting. The Senior Data Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

 

Responsibilities

 

ESS Business Intelligence is an Enterprise Shared Services team focused on data, reporting and data science supporting Humana’s Service Operations.  The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer’s experience.

This position will work within the ESS Business Intelligence team.  This team is focused on Data Science, Data Consulting, Data Visualization and Reporting.

 

The Senior Data Manager supports implementation of government and industry policies for requirements management, document management, change management, production and delivery, and configuration management of the performance, functional, and physical baselines. Acquires, validates, stores, protects, and processes required data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data for its users. Develops and executes architectures, policies, practices and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle needs of an enterprise. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

               

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other technical field
•    5 or more years of technical experience, 3-5 years of experience in a Data ETL function
•    Experience building data assets within a cloud environment with Azure
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Experience with Data Taxonomy Development
•    Experience with Data Governance (Quality and Compliance)
•    Experience in Database structure design
•    Proven ability to write complex packages using SSIS and/or Python
•    Proven ability to access data utilizing SQL and Python Code
•    Experience in consulting around data requirements supporting analytic and data visualization
•    Ability to balance competing priorities to drive for the best outcome

 

Preferred Qualifications
•    Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering and/or related field
•    Healthcare or managed care experience
•    Azure Certified Data Engineer

 

Additional Information
This role will be located in Louisville, KY, Waterside Building or WAH from anywhere
