Analyst II, Category Management
As part of Global Category Management, this position is a critical role on the US CatMan team focused on driving analytics and strategic support to SharkNinja’s cross functional business partners across product development, retail, results optimization and proactive business insights. This role will be responsible for crafting compelling sell-in stories and will serve as the expert on trends and competitors for assigned retailer(s) across subcategories. This is an excellent position for a highly motivated, strategic team member who likes to work in a fast-paced environment and data driven atmosphere.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the retailer(s) category expert internally, generating and presenting actionable insights on pricing, promotional impacts, positioning, competitive landscape and market needs to develop comprehensive strategies
- Build partnerships with assigned retailers/buyers through presentation of market trends (syndicated data) and shopper data, across the entire SharkNinja portfolio.
- Identify category gaps/opportunities for assigned customers, creating sales stories with strategic recommendations that differentiate SharkNinja from competitors, helping to increase distribution, space and displays
- Serve as voice of retailer and category in cross functional innovation development meetings, highlighting trends and opportunities for expansion within current categories and/or within adjacent categories where SharkNinja has a right to play
- Assist in the management of the demand planning process, forecasting future category growth at assigned retailer(s) to be used as benchmark for sales demand plans. Track & proactively communicate opportunity gaps and risks
- Potential to manage a Co-op/Intern as needs arise, developing managerial skills for future advancement

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of relevant work experience within category management or sales analysis
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and detail oriented, ensuring deadlines are met
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to present and calibrate on critical challenges to internal and external partners
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience pulling and analyzing syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, NPD, GFK, etc)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel/ Office skills
