Sales Reporting Analyst

The CarGurus Sales Operations team is looking for a Reporting Analyst to support the growing sales organization and its daily sales activities. Your responsibilities would include data development and analysis, reporting and visualizations, and sales process optimization. Ideal candidates will have business analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and fun environment.
What You'll Do:
- Synthesize contrasting data sources from our data warehouse to produce sales reporting and dashboards in Business Intelligence tools (Looker)
- Build custom reports for our sales teams in Salesforce
- Regularly audit and amend sales attainment data in Salesforce
- Own monthly customer renewal process and reporting for Sales
- Perform vital manual data corrections in our CRM; Identify and recommend process improvements
- Work with Revenue Tools & Process team on testing new CRM features & data tracking
- Facilitate the data sourcing in the most effective manner such as retrieving, crafting queries and ETLs, and formatting
- Support the development of presentations that analyze sales and marketing activities / achievements demonstrating Salesforce and other data sources
- Think and act strategically using data and models to support recommendations to leadership and executive teams
- Maintain documentation on policies and procedures as business processes evolve
- Advocate and implement policies for data governance to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
- Assist in sales training development, data analysis to support sales compensation, and reporting analysis as needed
- Assist in data import/export/updates within Salesforce
Who You Are:
- Previous experience in an analytical role (ideal backgrounds include: a similar Business Analyst role at a SaaS company, a data-based consulting role, Sales Analyst or other data strategy type positions)
- Experience with SQL, Looker and a few other useful tools of the data trade
- ETL experience (DBT is a plus)
- Previous experience using Salesforce or other CRM software is a plus
- Good understanding of sales goals and metrics
- Proven track record of demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Diligent individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new projects, the needs of the business, and technologies
- Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal) skills, and interpersonal skills
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
- Drive and desire to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies
