We’re looking for a Risk Analytics Leader to join Circle’s Risk org and manage a team of talented data analysts, deliver insights that will allow us to make step change improvements in processes and policies, and take our data and analytics capabilities to the next level. The Risk Analytics Manager will be a hands-on analytics expert with strong domain expertise in risk / fraud, and great people management and communication skills.

What you will be working on:

• Build dashboards, monitoring and alerting systems and visualisations to report and communicate risk status, loss forecast and controls performance, based on segment, product line, customer cohorts, etc.
• Investigate, analyze and identify fraud and money laundering patterns, risky behaviors, trends, vulnerabilities, unnecessary friction, product loopholes etc. and leverage data analysis to suggest appropriate solutions.
• Train, coach, mentor and develop a team of Risk Data Analysts.
• Be the point of contact for the Risk org data and analytics needs and communicate with Product Management, Risk Operations, Data Science, Compliance, Engineering, etc.
• Establish a framework for the risk analytics team performance - KPIs and goal setting, measuring continuous improvement and overall impact.
• Develop and monitor project plans and performance. Tackle complex and ambiguous analytics projects, to provide simple, clear deliverables.

What you will bring to Circle:

• BS/BA Degree in a technical field / economics / statistics / etc.
• 2+ years of people management experience with demonstrated competency in leading and managing a team of analysts.
• Experience in manipulating and analyzing large datasets, and the ability to identify trends and derive impactful insights.
• Strong technical and data analysis skills, proficiency in SQL and Python / R / etc.
• Ability to condense large, messy data into a digestible and easily communicated format.
• Experience in fraud / risk / trust & safety / identity in financial services / payments / e-commerce industries.
• Data driven approach towards decision making and process optimization, and the skills and knowledge to conceptualize monitoring and reporting for risk.
• Demonstrable analytic, creative problem solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in Cryptocurrency, Social Payments or FinTech is a plus.
