Quantitative Business Analyst Consultant
SUMMARY
MassMutual is seeking a Quantitative Business Analyst Consultant in the Institutional Solutions Actuarial Department. The Institutional Businesses are undergoing growth and represent a key component of the company’s business strategy. In this role, the candidate will utilize their technical knowledge and business acumen to support risk-controlled growth of the medium-term note, municipal GIC, and UK longevity reinsurance institutional businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities include profitability analysis and pricing of medium term note, municipal GIC, and UK longevity reinsurance businesses, including:
- Model development and maintenance across medium term note, municipal GIC, and UK longevity reinsurance businesses;
- Regular model upkeep and update for current pricing assumptions
- Monitor capital markets and quantify impact on product profitability
- Work with investment management, corporate oversight, and other business partners to research and implement assumptions
- Technical assistance for new business development, including concept research, risk analysis, and pricing work
- Identify and implement opportunities for model improvement
- Support model governance efforts
- Assist with technical aspects of deal execution
- Complete competitive analyses, providing insight on market dynamics and product positioning
- Support underwriting and risk analysis of new business opportunities
- Role may flex to support other product lines within Institutional Solutions as business needs arise
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree Required in Finance, Math, Actuarial Science or Related Field
- Strong actuarial modeling skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA
- Reporting Tools, Programming skills
