As the ­­­­­­­­­­­­­Precision Ag Innovation Manager, you will play an instrumental role in positioning the Precision Agronomy team to deliver more valuable data outputs. As you develop a deep understanding of users’ data needs, we will look to you to recommend a strategy to create new valuable insights, visuals, reports, etc. for growers from our data. This is a new function within the Precision Ag team, ultimately positioning our team to push the boundaries of industry discussions around precision equipment and ways to leverage precision data to provide meaningful value to growers. 


Responsibilities:

  • Meet and form relationships with all teams that interact directly with growers
  • Meet directly with growers to understand what data outputs would be valuable
  • Develop and prioritize list of options for different types of output that the Precision Agronomy team could generate
  • Ideate and pilot a new output (in partnership with other internal teams); iterate on output based on collected feedback
  • Establish process for driving innovative Precision Ag outputs from concept to completion
  • Work cross-functionally to drive recommendations for Indigo Research Partners to test

  • Passion for generating insights and new ideas from granular, disparate datasets
  • Works well across teams; able to champion ideas cross-functionally
  • Strong SQL skills required (or alternative, such as Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • Understanding of database architecture strongly preferred
  • Python / R skills a plus
  • GIS skills preferred

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years experience
  • Proven success generating valuable insights/outputs from large, scattered datasets
  • Experience creating and driving an output growth strategy/process
  • Experience in agriculture preferred but not required
  • Prior management experience preferred

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
