Precision Ag Analyst

The Precision Ag Analyst role requires an aptitude for agronomy, precision ag hardware and software expertise, geospatial software expertise, and people skills. The Precision Ag Analyst will collect, organize, and process on-farm data across all regions. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and assist all related personnel in accomplishing company goals as it relates to data collection. This includes working with Indigo Ag teams, seed partners, and grower customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop knowledge about current customers, geographies, and crops
- Gain strong familiarity with tools/platform software used for Precision Ag Solutions (PAS) tasks
- Map out how precision data flows into Indigo’s system
- Establish ownership of KPIs and operational dashboards
- Establish ability to edit machine data (with assistance, as needed)
- Identify ways to automate and upload data to database
- Create detailed documentation of incoming data; establish process to communicate existing data and storage locations to entire PAS team
- Develop strong understanding of data entry requirements
- Gain familiarity with discrepancies in data and ways to independently find solutions
- Contribute new and innovative outputs for PAS data
Competencies:
- Ability to use SQL, R, or Python +++
- Strong ESRI and QQIS skills

Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience with data-driven operations
- Experience with precision agriculture strongly preferred
- 1-2+ years experience working in agriculture industry strongly preferred
- Proven experience with office tools, with demonstrated ability to upload data to databases and QC and manipulate messy data
- Proven experience using AgLeader, Trimble, Climate, MyJD experience in GIS programs preferred
- Proven experience collaborating with personnel in the field
