About the role:
Being on the Product Team, you will be reporting directly to the product lead to build and improve the master data management solution at Abacus. You will work with users and clients to understand the problem and look for creative ways to solve and differentiate the Abacus offering in the healthcare tech market. The goal of this team is to create longitudinal and complete patient records so patients can access their healthcare data and our client can use the data to deliver better care. This role focuses on the major healthcare problem of how we link and process massive amounts of healthcare data.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Understand problems that are clients are trying to solve and collect requirements from users by working cross-functionally with teams like Implementation, Data Operations, and Engineering to understand problems that our client is trying to solve and collect requirements to solve those problems
• Work directly with the product lead and engineering daily to help refine requirements to drive the product forward
• Help design data pipelines and find creative ways to improve matching of healthcare data
• Dive deep into the data with SQL to better understand matching and data quality feature prioritization and drive execution of the roadmap
• Occasionally work with clients directly to help them understand their problems in the context of the Abacus platform and product

Qualifications:

• Understand the challenges in the healthcare industry around linking and creating patient records and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts with problems that data governance and data stewards face daily
• Have technical experience working with data pipelines and writing technical data engineering related epics/stories
• Have experience working with machine learning and data science related concepts like type I, type II errors, confusion matrix, and ROC curves
• Have experience with healthcare data – Member enrollment, claims, labs, patient data, etc
• Have a few years of experience and background in data analytics and SQL
• Have a few years of experience working on a product and agile team
• Familiarity with Cloud Services like AWS, Azure and data terms – json, ETL tools, data mappings, data profiling, SQL, data pipelines, running or writing simple python scripts
