Your Challenge: 

Our expansion has created the need for an energetic and motivated Manager of Corporate Development. Reporting into our Chief Growth Officer, we're looking for top-tier business talent to take our organization to the next level. You can expect to work on initiatives across several functions within Definitive. We are a small team responsible for defining and executing strategic programs. We work collaboratively across the entirety of Definitive Healthcare. The team is responsible for both organic and inorganic strategic programs which include growth strategy, operational improvements, transformations, M&A, etc. You will gain exposure to senior-level decision-making and establish relationships across all areas of the company. 

What you’ll tackle: 

  • Run point on oversight of potential acquisition processes, other financial transactions, and various strategic opportunities 
  • Evaluate and develop market landscapes to better understand competitive dynamics and growth potential 
  • Source, conduct outreach, evaluate, and prioritize targets with strategic fit 
  • Maintain relationships with selected targets over time 
  • Participate in preliminary assessments of actionable transactions that fit our criteria 
  • Build and develop financial models to analyze investment cases 
  • Develop materials to summarize and articulate growth opportunities for review by senior management/executive leadership 
  • Prepare and manage appropriate communications both internally and with external audiences  
  • Assist in preparing integration plans and with selected integration activities 
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of emerging trends and industry dynamics, serving as an advisor to internal stakeholders for insight on strategies/tactics to ensure competitive advantages  

What you’ll need: 

  • 4-7 years of experience in one or more of the following: investment banking, private equity/venture capital, corporate development 
  • Experience focused on transactions related to one or more of the following: technology, software, data, healthcare, life science
