The Manager, Corporate Development role provides an opportunity to be at the center of the Indigo Enterprise, leading key activities, priorities, and initiatives with the CEO and CEO’s Chief of Staff. This role is directly responsible for driving the company to the next level of value and positive change to the industry. Sitting on the Corporate Development team is a job unlike many others. This team is comprised of the most talented, well rounded individuals, interested in running a business line in the future, starting a company, or being a general manager or CEO. Future members should be humble, respectful and willing to put in the time, energy, and effort to realize the opportunity and vision to change the world.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the CEO and CEO’s Chief of Staff in executing key priorities and initiatives set by the CEO and Board of Directors enabling Indigo to scale to $10s of billions of value
    • Key priorities currently include building out Commercial Operations, New Business Development, Financing Activities, and Innovation/Data/Technology Strategy
  • Work with Senior Managers, the Chief of Staff, the CEO, and other Indigo executives to create new business plans and quickly evaluate new business opportunities
  • Start, stand up, staff, and run new functions, new businesses or business lines, and integrate acquired businesses into Indigo to achieve Indigo’s medium-long term goals
  • Facilitate project management processes to deliver upon organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide leverage to the CEO to focus on top company priorities
    • Work with an established process of the Chief of Staff Office in ensuring the CEO has time to invest in key priorities
    • Provide support to the CEO in managing other functions that are non-core to current key priorities
    • Align the top priorities of the organization with the CEO schedule
  • Ensure best-in-class, flawless execution of board meetings, executive off-sites, and executive staff meetings
    • Facilitate running executive staff meetings aligning the organization on key priorities
  • Roll up sleeves to get what needs to be done to position Indigo to achieve its long-term vision

  • Excellent analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong PowerPoint and story building skills
  • Self-starter and able to work with little guidance
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to requirements to complete projects
  • Strong desire to learn and to develop skill sets; ambitious
  • Willing to travel and work long hours
  • Able to manage ambiguity; thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes ownership in work

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of professional experience
  • Banking, private equity, consulting, and/or strategy/business development experience preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial modeling and insight development
  • Knowledge of options and trading preferred
  • Agriculture experience a plus, but not necessary

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
