PlacePass is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Data Analyst to join on the ground floor of our Analytics & Insights team. In this role, you will derive strategic insights from performance data across our travel marketplace platform and present your findings directly to company leadership and strategic partners.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and present bi-weekly performance reports to strategic partners, including information on marketing channel performance, conversion data and ad-hoc deep dives
  • Analyze results of A/B tests across partner sites; keep partners apprised of progress and make recommendations on go-forward strategy
  • Create user-friendly dashboards to share with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with partners to develop marketing links and make recommendations on what types of marketing activities are most effective
  • Become go-to internal resource on marketing channel performance, internal data systems and partner business performance
  • Work closely with the Product team on making data-driven decisions around prioritizing partner feature requests
  • Learning how to leverage tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel and SQL to visualize data and tell compelling stories
  • Other ad-hoc data projects as needed; examples could include working with the algorithms team to develop smarter recommendations, creating forecasts, or performing LTV analysis on our customer database.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Math, Statistics, Business or other quantitative fields from a top university
  • 2 years professional experience, ideally in a quantitative role; bonus points for experience at a startup, e-commerce, or B2C growth company
  • Ability to take an open-ended question, dig into the appropriate data, visualize the findings, and come up with a compelling recommendation based on the data
  • Ability to confidently present findings to a senior audience and get buy-in; bonus points for experience in a client-facing role
  • Strategic thinker who leans on data to inform decision-making
  • Excited to develop data skillset; candidate must be eager to develop skills in SQL, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Excel, Google Sheets
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to problem-solve independently
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity - this role is fast-paced, fluid, and will frequently evolve based on partner, strategy, and product priorities
