We are looking for an Insight and Reporting Analyst to join our MGA team. Reporting to our MGA team and working closely with our wider Data and Analytics team, this role will be responsible for assisting with reporting, analyzing data, and making recommendations to our Insurance Product, MGA, and wider Commercial team based on insights.
As an Insight and Reporting Analyst, you will:
- Build out and maintain reporting capabilities to various internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with stakeholders to provide meaningful and proactive insights based on business needs
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to understand data needs and building/maintaining relevant reporting capabilities
- Build dashboards and self-service query tools and train colleagues to use them
- Develop a repository of reusable custom charts and dashboards
- Promote the output and capabilities of the analysis team across the business to help foster a company-wide data-driven culture
- Deliver high-quality insights and analysis and recommendations to support the MGA team.
What we are looking for:
- Prior P&C insurance carrier or reinsurer strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of experience with Looker or a similar dashboarding tool
- Experience with dbt and Git is strongly preferred
- Proficient data interrogation skills with knowledge of SQL
- Working in a fast digital environment with a strong focus on the customer experience
- Desire to use data analysis to identify areas of opportunity to drive growth
- Collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Proven aptitude for analysis of data and problem solving
- Curiosity about the business

What's going on with work from home and return to the office?
More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.
We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.
We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely once every few weeks. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
