The Informatics Lead coordinates with other analytics, IT and business areas across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledge SMEs. The Informatics Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

 

Responsibilities

 

This Lead Informaticist position combines advanced knowledge of data manipulation, forecasting/modeling methodologies, and statistic functions with a high business acumen and understanding of the Humana enterprise goals and initiatives.  This position will be responsible for the team that produces forecasting models around measure performance in the CMS space, collaborate with the external safety entities such as PQA for measure development, create predictive models around population behaviors and compliance, manage collaborative relationships with internal business partners, and publish and present logical and understandable data stories around high end analytic outcomes to clinical business partners and executive leadership. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 3 associates
  • Develop and maintain expertise in technical specifications around CMS Part D Stars measure guidelines published from PQA, HEDIS and NCQA
  • Create and manage forecast models to predict measure success.
  • Update and own algorithmic identification methodologies of CMS Part D Stars Measures.
  • Work with business partners to develop study designs around impact identification of differing outreach types, manage sampling and deployment of study populations, and produce statistical testing to determine efficacy at conclusion of study.
  • Create and own predictive models around end of year compliance in the CMS Part D Measure populations.
  • Manage collaborative relationship with clinical business partners.

               

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree and/or 5+ years of technical experience
  • Strong background in statistics and statistical modeling
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience
  • Experience with data mining, predictive modeling techniques and using data to drive business outcomes and decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Able to articulate and present findings and insights to senior leadership
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in mathematics, analytics, or related field.
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience with reporting (from dealing with large data sets to report production)
  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
  • Preferred technologies; SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau
