Job Overview:

As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Ensure that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
• Design and develop ETL solutions on Informatica PowerCenter 10.x platform that follow the in-house ETL development standards.
  
  • Develop Oracle PL/SQL procedures.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
•  Identify and analyze business requirements, translating requirements to technical specifications.
• Work closely with senior data analyst of both source and target systems to ensure the requirements are correctly implemented.
• Manage program coding for the extraction of data from all existing source systems, transforming data to industry standards and generating extract files.
• Establish testing/quality assurance environments.
• Work with clients and system to ensure that programs and modifications are error free.
• Monitor system performance, and other aspects of systems to identify technical problems.
• Monitor data integrity to identify data quality problems.
• Design and enhance the data quality improvement process including feedback to system stewards.
• Troubleshoot Production issues, as well as assist clients in analyzing functional issues.
• Draft technical specifications and data mappings document.
• Document solutions, program changes, and issues and associated resolutions.

• 6+ years’ experience of Data Warehousing and ETL, working in an enterprise class Production data warehouse environment.
  
  • Deep understanding of Data warehousing concepts.
• 5+ years’ experience on Informatica PowerCenter platform (specifically version 10.x), as well as process and workflow tuning and optimization. 
• 3+ years’ experience in working with Oracle PL/SQL procedures
• IBM Netezza and ERwin experience a plus.
• Healthcare experience is a big plus.
• Proficiency in Linux and shell scripts, job scheduling.
• Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
• Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
