We are hiring a Director of Business Data to join the team at WHOOP. This is a key role with the potential to drive significant impact for the business. You’ll help ensure that the data we collect from our members during key touchpoints are actionable and extract the best information for enhancing the customer experience.

 

The ideal candidate is a collaborative person with an entrepreneurial spirit who understands how to leverage data collected from customers. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage version changes to the data collection endpoints (checkout surveys, customer satisfaction surveys, merchandise return codes, etc.).
  • Own product taxonomies for financial reporting.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses when making changes to the data we collect – evaluating downstream impacts versus business opportunities.
  • Work with stakeholders – data science, marketing, product – to ensure cross functional alignment when it comes to data collection.
  • Proactively identify new self-reported data we should be collecting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business, Quantitative Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of full-time professional experience in a relevant role – e.g., management consulting, qualitative research, etc.
  • Experience influencing strategy through compelling presentations
  • Understanding of how data is used to make business decisions and improving the customer experience.
  • Experience with collecting self-reported data (for example via surveys and check-out questions) is a plus.
