Objectives of this role

The Digital Business Analyst - Digital Delivery, will work with the Digital Product Owner to analyze business processes, review user personas, and gather requirements necessary to determine how to build out our platform(s).

Daily and monthly responsibilities

  • Utilizing an Agile SCRUM approach, the Digital Business Analyst will work with the Product Owner to develop and review Agile stories using the Gherkin syntax.
  • She/He will make recommendations about products and features that would support a positive, secure and efficient customer experience.
  • analyze the 3rd party/product integration aspects of business requirements and be able to effectively work with vendors to implement such requirements.
  • Create and own business requirements documents which drive platform evolution.
  • effectively prioritize requirements for a minimum viable product or delivery while conceptualizing a medium-term roadmap for platform evolution.
  • Assist in the testing of new product features; design test cases to monitor system functionality and support system enhancements.
  • Partner with Product Owner to monitor and evaluate processes and KPI’s in order to improve the customer experience.
  • Work with other team members to help outline team roadmaps and communicate these to internal stakeholders. Pitch in wherever needed.

Skills and qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a business analyst, project management or similar role
  • Has a significant technical or insurance/financial industry background
  • Agile/SCRUM experience specifically in Story/Acceptance criteria development
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the inter-dependencies of key business processes, functions and risks.
  • Identifies and uses the key financial indicators necessary to measure business performance.
  • Identifies and anticipates customer requirements, expectations and needs.
  • Probes and looks past symptoms to determine the underlying causes of problems and issues.
  • Approaches problems holistically; defines connections, linkages, inter-dependencies and develops solutions.
  • Takes ownership of problems and stays on top of them until resolved.
  • Encourages others to set challenging goals and high standards of performance.
  • Fosters a sense of energy, ownership and commitment to work.
  • Creates an environment in which performance excellence is rewarded.
  • Ability to engage in and model courageous and constructive dialogue;
  • Ability to confidently offer a new and potentially challenging idea to foster conversation and critical thinking
  • Agile/SCRUM experience specifically in Story/Acceptance criteria development
  • Technical or Insurance or Financial Services Industry background
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a business analyst, project management or similar role
  • Experience with Jira Software to plan and organize tasks, workflows, and reports for the Agile Team members.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with or without sponsorship
  • Bachelor’s degree
