Job Summary

Summary:  The Nuance Healthcare Analytics (NHA) team is responsible for designing and developing Nuance’s cloud based BI platform and govern the overall Nuance BI strategy. Also, team delivers Analytics and Reporting for Nuance Dragon Medical One to provide accurate and timely access of actionable analytics for both clients and Nuance.

As a Software Engineer in the R&D - NHA team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Microsoft ADF pipelines and Power BI reports.

Principal duties and responsibilities –

- Design, analyze and build ETL programs to populate data warehouse on a scheduled basis.
- Develop functional, well-designed, well-tested, high-quality code for next-gen BI system.
- Design and develop insightful, actionable and intuitive data dashboards using Power BI.
- Write technical specifications for assigned application components or major features/versions including functional specifications and design specifications.
- Create logical and physical data models.
- Monitor and optimize database performance.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications –

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Minimum years of work experience: 2
 

Required skills: 
- 2+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
- 2+ years of experience in Azure Data Factory V1/V2, Azure SQL, and Power Shell script
- 1+ year of Power BI report development 
- Good understanding of the principles of data warehouse, data/dimension modelling, data architecture and data transformation design using technologies such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory. 
- Good T-SQL query development skills for building queries.

Preferred skills:

- Experience in Healthcare domain. Understanding of HIPAA compliance and securing patient health information.
- Experience with Atlassian tools – Jira and Confluence.
