Data Strategy and Reporting Analyst
Bevi is a Series C startup that has raised over $60 million to bring customizable, healthy hydration to offices and facilities across the US and Canada. Founded in 2013, our co-founders set out to out-design bottled water. Within five years time, Bevi has saved the waste generated by over 50 million plastic bottles and seen revenue grow by 10x over the past 2 years! With offices now in Boston, New York, and San Francisco, we continue to grow our healthy flavor offerings and constantly strive to bring the next level of customization to the Bevi hydration experience.
We are seeking a Data Strategy & Reporting Analyst to help define and stabilize the data model for the company’s wealth of data. This is a key position reporting directly to the Director of Enterprise Applications, working to define Bevi’s organizational data management practices and centralized reporting strategy. This role will be responsible for driving Bevi’s Business Intelligence tool development and taking ownership of the organizational data model, positioning the company for rapid scalability and enabling data-driven decisions across all business units.
The purpose of this role will be to automate data collection from all business systems to minimize manual one-off, ad-hoc analyses, and instead focus on building the foundations for making proactive business decisions. Our goal is to be able to make observations and recommendations to supply chain, customer service, sales, and other business units (e.g. “direct more inventory to the west coast”, “SLA’s for support requests are consistently close to being breached”, “run a promotion on overstocked lemon concentrate”, ““add more installation technicians in Texas”) with confidence and regularity.
What you will do:
- Build reports and develop dashboards to monitor end-to-end business operations, including Order Management, Customer Support, Supply Chain, Sales, and Product Performance utilizing Business Intelligence (Looker) and Integration tools and Excel
- Work with leadership team to clearly define and document reporting requirements and KPI’s to enable data-driven decisions
- Manage data connections to multiple business systems (Zendesk, Salesforce, Handshake, NetSuite) leveraging APIs and iPaaS platforms; monitor data quality, accuracy, and consistency; simplify and automate data extraction, transformation, and load activities wherever possible
- Write SQL queries to manipulate data and power reports spanning across multiple data sets and dimensions
- Develop and maintain a data model across all systems within Data Warehouse (Snowflake) that can support measures and variables necessary for downstream analysis; to be considered central source of data for all business reporting needs
- Construct, communicate, and execute an organization-wide data cleansing action plan
- Contribute to ongoing NetSuite implementation, preparing data and managing migration activities for item, inventory, order, financial and master data
- Be scrappy and practical, and function in an environment where there’s never enough data, and where it’s never clean enough; be capable of combining quantitative analysis with qualitative insights to make good decisions even when quantitative data is lacking
Requirements
We think you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience and proven track record of success in data management and leading reporting and business insight initiatives
- A high-level of emotional intelligence, and an ability to work with and influence a diverse set of internal stakeholders within fast moving start-up culture
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Experience with modern BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Domo, Qlik, etc.)
- Experience with iPaaS platforms (Workato, Dell Boomi, integrator.io, JitterBit, etc.) a plus
- Adept at displaying complex quantitative information in a clean and intuitive format to business users
- Intermediate programming skills (Python preferred) a plus
- Experience with Looker and LookML a plus
- An ability to understand business process and requirements and translate them into actionable and reportable metrics

- Effective verbal and written communication skills
How you will grow:
- Engage with talented and growing Enterprise Applications and Leadership teams drawn from diverse sectors, and mentor and coach junior team members in their career journeys
- Learn cross-functionally from Supply Chain, Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Order Management teams, and work at the heart of a start-up in high-growth mode
