Develop predictive models and algorithms for the creation of new insights which lead to more effective and efficient customer loyalty and personalized targeted activities. Apply advanced analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and promotions. Provide analytics that translate customer behavioral information into accurate, insightful and predictive information.

Announced in May 2018, Peapod Digital Labs is an Ahold Delhaize USA company that will serve as the engine that powers U.S. ecommerce and digital strategies. Peapod Digital Labs will accelerate growth in digital and personalization capabilities for the great local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA and will serve as the innovation lab for the U.S. portfolio of companies, driving digital and eCommerce innovation, technology and experience to meet the changing needs of customers of Ahold Delhaize USA’s local brands, regardless of when, where and how consumers choose to shop. Peapod continues to be a consumer-facing eCommerce brand, and is part of Peapod Digital Labs, focused on growing Peapod sales to consumers. 

Recipe for Success - What's “in store” for the role  

• Develop statistical models to identify campaign opportunities and to predict outcomes of different campaign effectiveness in creating positive customer behavior change.
• Use advanced analytics to highlight customer trends and external variables that impact customer behavior to offer proactive recommendations in support of sales goals - Develop advanced targeting methodologies and innovative, production ready tools to provide customers with the most optimal offers based on campaign goals (stretch, retain, re-engage, etc.)
• Serve as the expert on advanced analytics tools and technologies to garner customer insights in support of customer campaign effectiveness
• Partner with marketing to identify KPIs for the creation of impactful reporting using visual analytics
• Design tests for quantifying campaign results using A/B testing and statistical methods - Train other analysts to utilize our tools and models to provide timely and impactful recommendations in reporting and analytics.
• Partner with IT to develop or update reporting attributes, make changes to user access permissions and address data concerns.
• Partner with Brand and Campaign leads across the Ahold Delhaize business to understand business, brand and customer objectives in order to focus Data science activities for delivering on their committed priorities.

The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients 

• Bachelor Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative science
• Master’s Degree preferred
• 5+ years of applicable experience, with emphasis on marketing or financial analysis, data mining, or database marketing/analytics.
• 3+ advanced statistical analysis with emphasis on machine learning
• Experience using statistical programming software and languages such as SAS, SQL, R, Scala and Python
