About You:

Over the past several years, you’ve helped create solutions to constantly evolving data problems. With that experience, you are now ready to help architect and build the next generation IoT streaming platform.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, implement, operate, and maintain our data pipeline and data processing infrastructure

  • Assemble large, complex datasets that meet the needs of internal and external consumers

  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into machine status and conditions, operational efficiency, and other key metrics

  • Work with the Executive, Product, and Engineering teams to assist with data-related technical issues and data infrastructure needs

  • Provide/receive constructive feedback for and from team members

  • Be a Champion of our Core Values

What You've Got:

  • You are a seasoned Data Engineer with 3+ years of experience building data-intensive stream and batch processing platforms (high-velocity, high-volume)

  • You have working experience with some of these technologies:

    • Streaming platforms and processors (examples include: AWS Kinesis/Lambda, NATS, Kafka, Flink, Spark)

    • Common data serialization formats and wire protocols (e.g., Avro, Parquet, MQTT)

    • Managing relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL - on RDS and bare metal)

    • Complex, analytical SQL queries and query optimization (experience with time-series data is a plus)

    • Object-oriented and functional programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Java, Scala, Python)

    • Tools to define Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

    • Containerized deployments (Kubernetes is a plus)

  • You have an affinity for Industrial IoT and Manufacturing

  • You are genuinely curious and a quick learner

Nice-to-Have:

  • Certifications related to AWS Specialties or CNCF CKA/CKAD
