We are hiring data annotators with working knowledge of how autonomous vehicles make driving decisions to help us annotate our video data.

Our company builds machine learning models that predict, in real-time, pedestrian awareness and crossing intent. The performance measurement of these models relies on annotated information that we extract from clips that show pedestrians in road environments. This annotated information includes, for example, whether the pedestrian wants to cross the road in front of the approaching vehicle and what an AV’s driving action would be in a specific clip.

We rely on annotators with sufficient AV experience and the ability to focus on detail across hundreds of clips to annotate correctly - the quality of these annotations is very important for the quality of our product. You will be trained to annotate before going to production. This training process is meant to teach you how to annotate well and gives both sides the opportunity to determine whether the fit is good.

You will annotate using a web-based interface such as Google Sheets. You will therefore need to have reliable access to the internet, a quality display to ensure that you can see sufficient detail in the clips, and, ideally, a recent-model desktop computer (Windows, Mac, or Linux). Higher-spec laptops are also acceptable as long as the display quality is of high enough quality. We will ask you to confirm your system specs during the interview process.

You will have the flexibility to schedule your work hours during the day/week, but we expect you to commit at least 10 hours per week to this annotation task.

Strong Preferred Skills and Background:

• 1+ years experience as an autonomous vehicle safety driver or support engineer or similar
• 5+ years of daily mostly urban/city driving experience
• Passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy
• Ability to focus and deliver accurate annotations at scale
• Quality compute and display to ensure you can view sufficient detail in the clips
• Previous annotation experience a plus
• Basic computer skills
• At least 10 hours per week
