Data Analyst

Description
As our Data Analyst, you will be supporting the Clinical Operations team and the Machine Learning team in successfully piloting our new AI-powered Patient Recruitment activity at Iterative Scopes. You will report to the Associate Director of Strategy & Operations, and support cross-functional and cross-departmental needs, including those of the machine learning team.
This role requires a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where we create and build as we go.
This position is primarily operational in nature and will give you first-hand access to patient and business data. Your role will be instrumental in making sure we successfully run our daily activities with our customers.
We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude; who is willing to take on new challenges, is able to grasp complex healthcare/business concepts quickly, and thoroughly and creatively execute projects independently as well as collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities

  • As we are launching a new initiative in partnership with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare software providers, and medical centers, you will serve as a custodian of daily patient dataflow, and be responsible for the maintenance and management of business and patient data to ensure data integrity
  • You will undertake spontaneous initiation of any analysis that can generate business insight, create and update reports to manage data, and monitor progress over time, informing both the business and the operation sides
  • You will work with various team members to understand their needs and provide recommendations on tools and visualizations which will improve workflows etc.
  • You will support the evaluation of annotation quality, by performing activities such as querying annotations for violation of rules defined in annotation policy as well as developing tools to quantify interrater agreement
  • You will build tools, such as dashboards, to empower colleagues to understand and audit data throughout their lifecycle


Requirements & Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • You have a strong interest in new technologies, including Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • You are comfortable with data management, analysis, and visualization
  • You have a solid understanding of basic statistics
  • You show a keen interest in technology and understand how it can be used to enable efficiency
  • You have the ability to develop and manage project schedules, identify risks, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders
  • You are a dynamic team player, flexible, and eager to learn as we grow as a company


Required Skills/Experience:

  • SQL experience, PostgreSQL preferred
  • Basic python scripting (matplotlib, pandas, any visualization experience preferred)
  • Experience with APIs


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Basic Amazon S3 experience
  • Experience with Splunk
  • Knowledge of data science fundamentals preferred
  • Previous experience working with git, cloud computing, backend, and/or frontend development experience are all a bonus


Qualifications:

  • BSc/BA in computer science, data management, or relevant field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Great attention to detail
