Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Data Analyst, expert in Ecommerce Analytics, to join our Advanced Analytics team at our Boston, MA location. He / She should have excellent technical skills and a strong passion around data analysis and investigation. Working on the Advanced Analytics team, this analyst will have the opportunity to dive in and investigate problems and questions from all areas of the business. This role will work with other analysts to apply machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and develop reporting solutions to demonstrate and track the findings. 

What You’ll Do:

The successful candidate will have a varied and broad skillset around data with a demonstrated passion for analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities will focus around performing deep-dive investigations into data questions and weaving those findings into an effective story to drive changes within the organization. This analyst will also be responsible for taking analytic findings and working with development teams to implement and productionalize the methods used within the analysis to drive analytic insight around the findings.

What You’ll Need:

  • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
  • Comfortable working in an environment that requires self-driven learning
  • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining data structures necessary for analysis
  • Strong SQL skills with a working understanding of columnar databases
  • Comfortable presenting findings to SME’s from across the organization, including executive leadership
  • Capable of working in a highly ambiguous or unstructured environment. Often you will be given a topic to research and be expected to perform an analysis to pull the most business relevant information around that content.
  • Proven analytic skills using SAS, R or Python required.
  • Ability to develop production level code that can be implemented at an org level
  • Ability to implement Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning, Decision Trees, Neural Networks in the context of generating organizational insights
  • Ability to work with unstructured or poorly defined data assets
  • Statistics Skills required and not limited to Regression, Predictive Modeling, Forecasting, Time Series Analysis & Clustering
  • Position may require some travel

Bonus:

  • Strong development experience with BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE, Qlik, etc)
  • Vertica SQL+
  • Experience Preferable in Ecommerce Analytics
  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
