Corvus is reimagining commercial insurance with data science and machine learning playing a critical role. Data Scientists at Corvus are a key component of our mission to find and use alternative sources of data that can help our clients mitigate risk and make the world a safer place.
We’re looking for a Cyber Data Analyst to join the Data Science team as an integral part of ingesting and acting on the large columns of security data we collect. In this exciting new role, you’ll be a crucial part of building our data assets and infrastructure to fuel our Cyber Risk Scores, and be responsible for enabling other Corvids to use this data to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Help ingest, store, cleanse and analyze cyber security data and assist internal uses in accessing and understanding this data
- Work on teams of Data Scientists and Engineers to improve our cyber risk scores
- Work with Product Managers and other internal stakeholders to provide data driven insight into our project planning
- Build systems to monitor the performance of our Cyber Risk Scores and make suggestions for improvements
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in analytical roles at cyber security companies
- Expertise with SQL or other database querying language
- Experience with processing and analyzing data in Python, R or other similar languages
- Entry level knowledge of IT/security/network/infrastructure fundamentals
- Previous experience in cyber security analysis, information security analysis, or digital forensics is a plus
- You are curious and able to adapt to different domains
