We are looking for a self-motivated Solutions Customer Facing Data Scientist who has strong fundamentals of applied data science and enjoys communicating and evangelizing business solutions to internal and external business stakeholders.The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Retail, Healthcare, Banking or Insurance and is excited about the potential of automated machine learning and the ability to drive significant bottom line improvements in large organizations.

Responsibility

  • Data Science
    • Enabling customers to solve complex data science problems using DataRobot - including problem framing, data preparation, model building, model deployment & management
    • In some cases, executing data science workflows for customers
    • Providing data science knowledge and expertise as a trusted advisor to the customer
  • Align Data Science to Customer Requirements
    • Partner with the Solutions team to deploy the core solution models to key customers
    • Be able to educate executives on the strategic value propositions of DataRobot for each of the core solutions
    • Provide the customer’s point of view to the product team informing the direction of future product development features
  • Build Assets for each Core Solution
    • Demo datasets, scripts, slides, whitepapers
    • Demonstrate the value of the DataRobot platform for specific solutions
    • Partner with the product and engineering teams to ensure the core solution components are packaged for success
  • Partner with DataRobot Domains / Product Development
    • Create technical and demo content to better support our solutions 
    • Partner with our Industry GMs and Sales teams to ensure the solutions are being positioned for success during the sales cycle
    • Participate in solution product development discussions when needed
  • Solution Leadership
    • Participate in conferences and marketing events as needed
    • Provide Solutions leadership collaborating with sales, field engineers, customer facing data scientist, AI success and other internal domains

Main Requirements

  • 4+ years of customer experience in a data science role
  • 3+ years of analytics experience with customers
  • Hands-on experience building and implementing predictive models using machine learning algorithms
  • Strong customer interaction experience
  • Experience in key industries like Retail, Healthcare, Banking, Insurance
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency with scripting (Python / R)
  • Familiarity with a variety of technical tools for the manipulation of datasets
  • Up to 30% travel

  • Consulting / SI experience 
  • Experience working with an enterprise customer base and salesforce
  • Strong people networking skills
  • Familiarity with Spark or Hadoop or AWS and Big Data related technologies
