THE ROLE

As Hopper’s Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for global corporate information technology, security and data privacy/compliance initiatives. This role will be strategic on determining how we grow our technological footprint internationally and continue to safeguard our customer’s data and ensure their trust long term. As a leadership position at Hopper, the candidate will also champion our leadership principles as we continue to rapidly scale the company.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop mechanisms and strategies to ensure Hopper Technology runs smoothly and effectively.
  • Direct and establish IT/Security/Compliance projects.
  • Monitor changes in the technology sector to discover ways the company can improve and develop.
  • Supervise the networks and computer systems in the company to ensure optimal performance, and own our on-premise system operations.
  • Plan and direct the implementation of new technology systems to continue to scale Hopper.
  • Provide leadership coaching to more junior members of Hopper and be a voice of our leadership principles.
  • Troubleshoot data-related/systematic issues and establish regular maintenance.

A PERFECT CANDIDATE HAS:

  • Built large and diverse teams of exceptional individuals.
  • Technical Degree(s) in computer science, engineering or a related field
  • Held leadership roles.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to use influence as effectively as direct control.
  • Past success analyzing data, drawing accurate conclusions, and adjusting strategy accordingly.
  • No ego, and a strong focus on doing what is right for the customer and the company.
  • The ability to interface with diverse teams from leaders in business units to individual engineers.
  • Experience in Travel or Mobile is a plus.
