Business Operations Analyst
As a Business Operations Analyst you will be a key member in the Global Services team and act as a thought leader and impact the direction of Rapid7’s financial future! This highly visible position will partner closely with the Sr. Manager of Global Operations and act as a key contributor towards tactical and strategic goals.
The right candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, contribute innovative ideas, demonstrate effective financial and project management skills and assist in the evolution of our operational and financial model.
This position is responsible for supporting a growth business unit by providing insight and visibility towards key financial and operation trends such as: Utilization, Bookings, Revenue, Project Variance(s), Pricing and Discounting Trends, Pipeline Management, etc. As well as pioneering new methods of analysis to move the business unit from reactive to proactive in search of market leadership!
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop reporting requirements to resolve a variety of business-related challenges.
- Develop reports and data requirements to optimize business analysis capability.
- Improve reporting and analytics processes and tools, working with IT and relevant business communities to recommend improvements to IT platform, systems, data flow and reporting.
- Deliver advanced information and data interpretation advisory and consulting services to assigned internal clients.
- Perform, and apply in data visualization tools, standard financial analysis, such as, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Return on Investment (ROI or CAGR), PvA, Discounting trends and/or Net Present Value (NPV).
- Provide strategic technical insight with respect to the Global Services Business and share expertise to optimize decision making by business leaders.
- Communicate Business state by publishing high quality project reports and presentations.
- Evaluate business process implications of system requirements and make appropriate redesign recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal network of business operations and analytical leaders to drive the integrity and completeness of operational and financial reporting and controls
- Manage projects through completion including project tracking, monitoring, reporting, and administration consistent with best practice portfolio management processes.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of business operations experience
- Passionate about service and support – seeks to achieve extraordinary results as part of a high energy & dynamic team.
- Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in order to maintain required high level of customer service.
- Strong data analysis skills; able to analyze business information and draw accurate conclusions
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex data flow and production challenges
- Ability to synthesize complex problems and/or solutions, simply.
- Assertive but empathetic in nature; able to drive internal and external customers toward strategic goals through a combination of persuasion and rapport.
- Outstanding communications skills, able to communicate with all levels of an organization.
- Education: BS/BA Economics, Finance, or Operations
- Preferred knowledge in the following areas/tools:
- CRM: Netsuite, SalesForce.com; Experience with NetSuite SRP or OpenAir a plus
- Reporting: Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Domo a plus
- Financial: Services Business Model, Cost Modeling, Pricing Modeling
