Business Intelligence Specialist
ezCater is the world’s largest online marketplace for catering – a $60+ billion market just in the U.S. Businesspeople use us to find and order great food for meetings and events; restaurants and caterers use us to grow their catering business. We’re backed by Insight Partners, Iconiq Capital, Wellington, Lightspeed, and GIC, and in early 2019 were valued at $1.25 billion. COVID slammed us, but we responded by finding new customer segments and seizing the rare opportunity COVID offered: when in life does a very successful operation get a do-over? Come help us power Food For Work even better than we did it the first time.
We're looking to bring on a Business Intelligence Specialist to join our fantastic Data Technology team, building on a modern infrastructure to empower game-changing business outcomes. This role will shape the direction of our Business Intelligence function, providing a voice for what greatness looks like in the space while partnering with talented and enthusiastic partners across the company.
Are you passionate about data? How about leveraging data to drive meaningful impact across both the supply and demand sides of a two-sided marketplace, as well as a highly sophisticated customer support organization? Have opinions on how to best curate, structure and expose data to maximize its business value? Do you believe the right visualization is worth a thousand PowerPoint Slides? Then we should definitely talk!
At ezCater, data is at the root of every decision we make, and is becoming a critical part of our product and marketing experience. Understanding who our customers are and how we can best serve them while helping them navigate these unprecedented times to safely feed their workforce is core to our food@work mission. What You'll Do:
-Play a leadership role in the rollout and ongoing management of self-service business intelligence capabilities across the company.
-Partner with Data Technology stakeholders to design, model and govern information assets for sophisticated end-user BI use cases.
-Serve as a consultant to business analyst stakeholders; prototyping, developing and optimizing insightful dashboards to provide the actionable insights that are at the core of our culture.
-Collaborate with business and technology teams to implement and uphold data governance standards across our BI systems.
-Nurture our collaborative and autonomous development culture while improving team/process performance at every chance you get (we believe speed itself is a feature).
You Have:
-A belief that well crafted business intelligence is an art form, and your work is museum-quality.
-Expertise with common business intelligence applications, especially Tableau, SiSense, Looker, or similar tools.
-Experience with BI Tool administration, including data management and governance, security, and access patterns.
-A working knowledge of Data Management & Governance best practices.
-Expert level SQL skills, or a background in ETL.
-Experience with Snowflake, DBT, AWS, Python, R (All Nice to have)
-A sharp mind, a soft heart and a large funny bone.
Starting Salary Range: $84,000 - $106,000
