A bit about the role:

The Business Intelligence Manager within the Operations Performance group drives strategic and tactical decision-making by providing critical data to internal business leaders across the organization. The Business Intelligence Manager partners with these leaders to explicitly and clearly lay out effective reporting approaches and metrics for assessing key business issues and ongoing operations. The Business Intelligence Manager, with Technology and Data Science, plays a key role in the strategic design and implementation of Devoted’s data systems and BI platform(s). The ideal candidate has strong business and technical acumen, as well as great problem solving, communication, and mentoring and management skills.

Responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with business leaders across the organization (e.g., Service, Enrollment, Clinical/UM, Claims, Network Management, Medicare Programs, Finance) to understand and help define ongoing and ad-hoc reporting needs that will result in actionable insights that accelerate progress toward improved outcomes
• Liaise with technology to strategize on and lay out core requirements for data storage/ management and analytic interface(s)
• Intake, prioritize, and manage incoming requests from business leaders
• Assist in developing Devoted’s data architecture strategy
• Mentor, develop, and manage team of analysts
• Continuously promote data-driven decision-making and actively contribute to organizational development and ongoing optimization

Desired skills and experience:

• 2-7 years of total experience in business intelligence, data science or engineering
• Demonstrated progression of leadership, responsibility, knowledge, and experience
• BA in computer science, economics, or other quantitative discipline with strong academic record strongly preferred
• Health plan experience strongly preferred
• Experience with coding (e.g., Python, Java, Tableau, C++, SQL) a plus
