The Analytics team is hiring a Business Analytics Manager (Finance) to partner with finance. In this role, you’ll gather, clean, and analyze data with a focus on helping WHOOP better understand business, engagement, and retention data in order to assist our Product team in strategizing, testing, and defining our product roadmap. We are looking for someone who has an extremely data-driven mindset and is able to mix business knowledge with statistical tools to deeply understand, model and report on business trends. You will work closely with the talented WHOOP Product, Finance, Marketing, and Membership Services teams to understand and improve our understanding of the business

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Measure, analyze, and understand the data of the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition, engagement, retention, and churn
• Own and expand the models of the major levers of the business and forecast future outcomes and scenarios
• Find, extend, and implement industry best tooling, or custom made solutions, to empower Finance with a deep understanding of nuanced data
• Provide guidance on testing and ongoing optimization of new product ideas and opportunities, as well as LTV evaluation metrics 
• Be data-driven but also aware of business context and user experience to drive actionable recommendations to the finance team
• Communicate findings to non-technical and executive audiences
• Work collaboratively in a startup environment with a high-performance team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of experience in a deeply analytical role, including partnership with finance teams.
• Strong technical and analytical skills; Proficient in SQL
• Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker)
• Experience in Python a plus
• Strong track record modeling outcomes as part of an analytics, business intelligence, or data science team
• A self-serve player-coach; able to take a broad business questions, wrangle appropriate data, quickly isolate and model key insights, visualize results and communicate actionable recommendations
• Self-starting, fast-moving, and collaborative in approach to problem-solving
• Excellent oral and written communication; adept at communicating across multiple mediums to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience creating models of business dynamics in both SQL and excel - excellent attention to detail required
