We are looking for a Business Intelligence Lead to be responsible for driving the strategic vision and tactical execution of enhancing business intelligence and data governance across a complex, data intensive organization.

What you'll be doing here

  • Define strategy for KPI dashboards, executive reporting, and data management across the business
  • Partner with internal stakeholders in business development, product, design, and engineering to understand strategic priorities and how to measure, track, and report the data associated with the key priorities
  • Support predictive modeling and data visualization to drive business value
  • Build partnerships across the organization so that resources across departments align with the BI Strategy and priorities
  • Participate in strategic projects to represent the power and ability of business data to drive business strategy; ensure the massive amount of data available is stored and harnessed
  • Work cross functionally to use data to dig beyond surface-level trends and uncover and size new opportunities
  • Define key roles and responsibilities within a business data governance framework
  • Build Data Governance framework for business reporting; provide key leadership and direction in the governance model; serve as the data expert to drive the organization forward
  • Determine maturity of current business data model; assess where reporting activities are happening across the organization and how to build integrations and alignment with best practices
  • Ensure quality and best practices in data collection, transformation and reporting; ensure data structures are built the right way; focus on the new build as well as how to move the legacy data forward
  • Develop plan for on-boarding of new data sources; ensure governance for access to data sources and self-service reporting
  • Lead report development roadmap reviews and change management to ensure new requests or custom requests are in line with standards and best practices
  • Assess legacy reports for improvements that reduce production time and/or improve report quality and value

About you and your skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus
  • Extensive experience with Tableau, SQL databases and data architecture
  • Extensive experience in data modeling, analytics, and statistical modeling
  • Understanding of disciplined approach towards Data Visualization and Reporting
  • Experience in setting up complex ETL processes, involving relational and non-relational data
  • Experience with at least one major BI/Reporting Application
  • Ability to lead cross-functional communication and develop cross-functional partnerships
  • Excellent grasp of data structures and interaction between applications and data
  • Ability to quickly grasp existing systems, goals and technical options for given situations
  • Experience implementing a data governance program
  • Structured thinker; problem solver; result oriented person passionate about data driven decision making
  • Understanding of best standards, guidelines etc. and drives to adherence
  • Ability to handle complex problems from design to execution and deliver in time bound manner under constraints
