Business Analyst
Lose It! is looking for a recent graduate or senior slated to graduate in the class of 2022 for the role of Business Analyst. We're looking for someone with a quantitative background who is interested in helping all segments of the business make more informed, data backed decisions. This role will report to the VP of Business Operations and work with the Operations team to support a data-driven approach across the entire company. This person's efforts will drive decisions to help the business thrive financially as well as making sure our users are succeeding and getting the most out of our product.
This full-time position is located in our Boston office. It is a hybrid position with both remote and weekly in-person components.
What does Business Analytics mean at Lose It!?
At Lose It! the Operations team works as internal consultants, helping all other aspects of the business drive towards their goals. This role would work with the VP of Business Operations and directly with stakeholders from all roles in understanding experiment results, marketing performance, operational improvements, and user behavior. They'll be writing reports, doing analyses, and helping with recommendations for the best path forward.
What will you be responsible for?

• Managing weekly reporting of our key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Experiment analysis using hypothesis testing and interpreting Bayesian results
• Using our reporting platforms to understand user behavior to drive decision-making
• Handling ad hoc reporting and analysis for various stakeholders
• Learning new skills depending on the needs of the business

What are we looking for in a team member?

• A recent graduate with a degree in a quantitative field or demonstrated quantitative experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
• Demonstrated proficiency in analysis scripting in R, Python, or a similar language
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL
• A person who enjoys finding new ways to add value to our members and the business
• Strong desire to learn about all aspects of our business
• Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who gets excited about being scrappy to spin up experiments, test ideas, and iterate on learnings
• Someone who has an ownership mentality and never says "Not my job"
• A positive attitude and the ability to resolve issues with best practices, processes, and strategies
