As a member of Liberty Mutual Global Retail Markets (GRM) Finance, you will be responsible for driving analytic insight to our billing and payments function that processes over $29B worth of revenue annually. In this role, you will support GRM US Financial Operations by completing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting. Through a mix of technical and analytical skills, you will manage reports in the billing and payments space that provide insight and allow management to make strategic decisions on the business. You will also manage reports that support financial operations in completing their day-to-day work. This billing and payments work supports both Personal Lines (Liberty and Safeco) and Business Lines billing and payments functions. You will leverage primary data and financial analysis to both maintain and create new reports and dashboards. New reports will include reviewing and validating data elements against policy for accuracy. This is a remote opportunity with compensation dependent on candidate's geographic location, overall experience, and skill level.
Responsibilities:

  • Become a subject matter expert on Finance Operations in order to maintain existing reporting (daily, weekly, and monthly) and create new.
  • Tracks, analyzes and reports on metrics used to determine operational performance, staffing needs, productivity, or other measures deemed valuable to an organization.
  • Owns report development and modification for reports/dashboards considered of moderate complexity.
  • Develops, modifies, and distributes standard and ad hoc reports/dashboards to better understand the overall business and/or unit.
  • Receives, evaluates and responds to data-related inquiries by applying knowledge of data and business operations and obtaining information from various sources.
  • Provides operational and consultative support through conducting financial operations analyses.
  • Analyzes information to identify trends, patterns, gaps and insights.
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop analytic solutions that enable data-driven strategic decision-making.
  • Retrieving, mining and analyzing high-volume, high-dimensionality data from various data sources including SAS.
  • Support billing & operations initiatives in strategy, planning, execution, and impact measuring. Provide support for projects of all sizes and complexity.
  • Maintain a high level of organizational and operational awareness; independently seek out opportunities to generate incremental business value.
  • Identify and synthesize primary finance operations data, such as billing and payments for analysis relevant to business research question.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders in diverse roles and maintain partnerships via regular communication.
  • Research and resolve complex issues and discrepancies and take corrective measures.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from managers, employees, and external customers/vendors.
  • Identify value added process improvement opportunities.
  • Support and lead new billing process design in support of new products, processes, and modernization.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years of progressively more responsible related work experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAS, and PROC SQL preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, design, and implement process improvements.
  • Effective analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skillful application of data and insights.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Prefer strong data problem-solving , rather than advanced coding techniques.
  • Adaptability is key in this role; the ability to move forward with ambiguity and complexity.
  • Technical skills in macros, Python, Phoenix are a plus.
